a friend brought me this guitar because the action is high and the adjusters on the moveable ebony bridge are bottomed out.  I checked out all the usual suspects, relief, nut height, twisted neck, etc.  the guitar appears to have been finished fully assembled as there's no indication of a seam between the neck heel and the body so a reset might be difficult.  the saddle bottoms out on the adjustment wheels and the center section rests on the base at the same adjustment.

It looks to be easy to sand the saddle at the adjustment ends and through the center section to create more adjustment range.  is there a structural hazard in taking off a few thousands this way to obtain more adjustment?  By the way, it appears that the base is glued to the guitar top, although i haven't removed the strings yet.

Pictures later--from a different computer.
