Hello to all on Frets.net from The Emerald Isle.

I am about to visit California for the first time and was wondering if anyone here would know if there are any guitar shows or trade shows happening anywhere between Bakersfield/ Las Vegas / or indeed anywhere in the state during the month of March. I am coming to visit my daughter and grandchildren who live there and would welcome any info regarding this or even to visit Repair Shops,. Luthier's, or Guitar company's would soothe my soul as well.  It would be nice to see how you guys do it and i 'm especially a little envious of the amazing selection of machines and tools you guys have access to, compared to where I live. I am fairly new to guitar building and repairs but played professionally for 27 years before finally finding a hobby that I absolutely love. I say hobby but its really a job except that I don't make any money so far.   lol

Any help on this would be really appreciated

On a different note --a friend of mine has asked me to keep an eye out for a Springsteen Esquire Tele Relic as he collects lots of stuff.  I will try these two stores anyway.. Now , I just need to meet builders of instruments--that would be even better for me !!  And .I am hoping to pick up some Luthier Books--as many as possible as i love to read about guitars .   But , either way I intend to enjoy this trip.
