I've been looking at these lifts for a while thinking about  an adjustable work platform. This is a nice design but I think I would need to make a few mods. Thanks for the link.

I built a workbench over 10 years ago that had a hydrolic dentist's chair lift for the base. It was pretty neat I'll admit. I left it behind when I quit that repair shop and went out on my own. That hydrolic base bench was too small, a bit wobbly and I found myself mostly leaving it jacked up to the highest position.

Although that adjustable bench had its merits, I prefer the mass and stability of my old-timey woodworking benches that I'm currently using.
