I know I have "enough" break angle but it does look as though I could easily increase it by cutting the string slot. I'm wondering if doing so would increase volume, sustain, clarity or any of the above?
It's a very well made guitar and has no issues but I'm one of those people that want to make sure everything is optimum so I'm not sacrificing any potential tonal attributes.

What you're looking for is optimal downward pressure on the saddle. There is a point of diminishing returns when it comes to break angle and if you go too far, you will start to push the saddle over, rather than down.
