I have an early-70's Harmony, one of the few made with laminates (I guess I'm just lucky!) The top has bellied so much that the corners of the bridge away from the sound hole are loose, .020 on the treble side, .025 on the bass. It would seem to be a candidate for the JLD which has been recommended here, but I wonder if anyone knows whether it will work on a ladder-braced laminate top.

I sort of hate to invest $20+ in low-value guitar, but there ought to be some way to make it a decent-playing beginner guitar/beater.

The bridge dr is the cats meow!! I have used it on old martins and Gibson's
and other cheep guitars. I have been making mine as when I need one I just
don't have one handy. Properly installed you will never have that problem again.
Ladder bracing would be easier than x bracing and yes it will work.

You would still need to re glue the bridge.

Ditto Ron Frazier's comment. I've installed them in Yamaha fg75s, which are ladderbraced, they were fine...
Thanks guys! I'll give it a go.

Ron: would re-gluing the bridge typically be done by working glue under the corners and then adjusting the JDL, or by removing and re-gluing once things are in shape?
