Take the two round threaded nuts, thread them onto the post and counter tighten them together using pliers so they lock against themselves - you can pre tap the holes with a machinist tap (the modern ABRI threads are Metric 4 x.75 tap thread) but if you havent got one of them drill an interference fit hole (slightly tight to the thread) at the depth that you wish the threaded post to go into (and so it naturally bottoms out at the correct depth) and using the locked circular nuts as a lever turn the screw thread into the hole until it bottoms. This cuts a rough thread, then remove the post and drip some water into the hole and reinsert the thread. The wood will swell to form a good snug fit and firmly hold the post in place.

If it is stuffed up and loose, drip some superglue into the bore while it is still damp (CA reacts with water and bulks up a bit).
That's all I know.
