Hi Mick, Welcome to the Forum.
Frank Ford really seems to have a Magic Touch. To be able to Organise everything he does in such a way that this website is THE go to place, for the low down on anything to do with Guitars.
The beautiful thing is, although the great individuals that generously contribute here, clearly have both a very impressive knowledge and experience, there is always something to new to learn, new to experience and more fully understand.
It makes it a Mecca of Revelation for the true Enthusiast. Best of all you get to see so many different Guitar Brands and Models taken apart and their insides revealed. I'm very interested in Manufacturing Methods of the past, present and future so for me that is always noteworthy.
But as in Life, and in every Company, it's the People themselves that make everything of such a High Caliber. Here, it's the People that inhabit, contribute and endow their skill to it that make the place the Valuable Source of Accurate Information that it is. I for one, feel humbly privileged to enjoy encountering them all.

Hi Mick & WELCOME to the forum.
Those are some beautiful guitars.
I have a '96 Taylor 714 (Spruce top) and I know what you mean about that series. The mid-90's gave us some GREAT, luscious sounding Taylor guitars.
Take care & have a great week :)
Hey Mick - welcome to the forum--------- I have been a guitar fixer upper, maker, and player for a good long time
and I get a great deal of info along with giving my two cents here.
Check out my name and see some of the things that I've done here and some of the help that I have been given.
Be well and enjoy the time you spend here...
Peace, Donald
