Old Sears Catalogs
One of my other interests is Genealogy, so I'm a member of Ancestry.com (for now at least - it's $#%*!# expensive!)
They just posted scans of a whole bunch of old Sears Roebuck catalogs on there. If you know anybody with a membership, this is a fun thing to browse.
I am in awe that it was possible to order an ebony fretboard from the catalog in the 1890s. And those capos look positively frightening.

That's pretty cool. For a dollar they would send you a guitar "express" so you could examine the instrument.
