I've got 2 Regal resonators in the shop...One bass and one guitar....The guitar has a heelblock separation at the on the joined seem, that fooled me into thinking it was a solid carved piece...( It was a great grain match, and the finish is about a quarter inch thick )....Of course, treating it like a real crack in solid wood, the glue failed in a week...So,...now I'm facing having to remove the neck to clean out the old glue and fix it properly...The bass has a gap at the heelcap, that moves when flexed, altho the rest of the neck does not...The thick finish on the seem is uncracked and solid...Both would benefit from a re-set to lower the action anyhow...Just wondering if anyone had taken one off....Experience is the best teacher, unless you can learn from someone else's experience..
