There have been a lot of perfectly good cibar boxes turned into so-so ukulele type instruments. Here is my latest project, a so-so ukulele made into a perfectly functioning cigar box

Hi Harrison. Was hoping you could answer a few questions i have about removing ladder bracing from an old Harmony H162 and replacing with x bracing. I would love a rundown on your complete process. As of now, I have the neck removed and the back removed but am stumped on a way to remove the top braces in a non destructive way. Also, Love to see guitars made from white oak. I recently picked up a turn of the century parlor with white oak back and sides that sounds and looks incredible.
I desperately need one of those wrenches for adjusting the Baldwin era truss rod. Would you sell me one? Thanks, Gary
Thanks for the offer! I'll see if I can make it out to Davis sometime. Your website looks great, awesome stuff! Love the rehabilitation of the cheapie classics...I'd love to hear what some of those X-brace conversions sound like.
Best,
Chris
Thanks for the offer, Harrison - I have next week off, so I'll give you a call. I also have a friend, Ray Frank, who would probably enjoy a field trip as well, if that is okay with you.
