It has met and exceeded my hopes and expectations. It actually has better intonation and pitch accuracy in all positions and tunings than any guitar I've ever owned or knowned. I first strung it up 2 days after gluing on the bridge, using D'Addario phosphor bronze light guage strings, then after a day or two, unstrung it and compensated the saddle. Played it for a couple of weeks just to let it sink in that it was done and that it sounded as good as I thought it did. Then the high e string broke when I was detuning it to a double drop D, so I replaced the set with extra light guage and adjusted the nut seating of the high e string. I like it even better with the extra lights.
I will eventually shave the neck down some more, but even without that it plays and sounds at least as well, probably better than my Taylor GC-7.
I have mixed feelings about the french polish. I like that it's all hand done and that acoustically french polish has the least impact on the natural sound of the instrument, but it's very time consuming and tedious, and very susceptible to blemishes.
Next one, I'm considering a 12-fret short scale with a cutaway, just to get the bridge more out towards the center of the lower bout. We'll see.
I'm working up to some casual recordings to post on facebook or youtube.
