FRETS.NET

Lacking talent or coordination, I have had problems documenting necks with a contour gauge or the big stack of cards method. I really love this neck profile and wanted to get it right. Here’s what I used.

As always, you guys might have already been doing this for years but I hadn’t heard of it and it worked out nice, so I wanted to testify just a little.

For whoever hasn’t used it, Magic Sculpt is an epoxy clay that cures rock hard,  can be drilled and tapped, etc. Not cheap but very good stuff. I used monofilament at the frets to make seams  that came apart easily. Numbers keep things from getting 180’d.
