I recently purchased a tenor Paramount Style A banjo that has a basket case resonator and I'm looking for a replacement.

The resonator can't be repaired at all? Perhaps you can use it as a template to build another. How about a picture or two?

Hi Ned, Thanks for the response. I have considerable expertise in woodworking and I believe it would be far easier to replace the resonator than to restore it. The veneer has begun to separate and it has a large bulge about 2" wide and 1/4" high extending across the full length of the resonator. The problem is: someone has apparently forced some kind of glue into the cracks where the veneer has begun to come apart. I will consider making the repair only if I can't find a replacement.........Charlie
A picture would help, indeed.
