First off I would like to say that this is the BEST site I have ever came across for the acoustic guitar....besides Frank's Frets page of course.
I picked up an nice one year old used Breedlove OM-R guitar. I am wondering if it might need a neck reset in the near future. Here are my mesurments and observations after checking out frets.com
When laying a straight edge on the finger board the bottom of the straight edge just kisses the top of the bridge, thats good, looks ok.
All measurements are at the bottom of the string.
The action at the 12th fret is:
Low E = 6/64ths
High e = 5/64ths
Neck relief is about right.
Low E string height right in front of the bridge is 15/64ths so almost 1/2"
The saddle height were the string passes over the saddle from the top of the bridge is:
Low E = 6/64ths
High e = 5/64ths
Now the saddle is low, lower than what I am used to...to me there is not much sticking up above the bridge. But there are no buzzes and the string slots are ramped so I guess I have an OK break angle over the saddle.
Here are some pics. What do you think?
