Gluing top Pieces together

Is it best to use hide glue of epoxy or titebond to glue these split top pieces together..They actually fit together perfectly.  I am going to cleat them as well.  Also, there is kerfing that is still glued to the top that fits perfectly to the kerfing that is left in the body.  Should I just glue it back or replace it?

I use hot hide glue for solid top repairs. It will help draw the joints together when it drys and I think it mimics the acoustic properties of the wood better than titebond or epoxy. Just my opinion.

I'd fashion a new top just for the experience 'cause getting those pieces up to strength looks iffy unless you are going to reenforce underneath. My 2cents...

If everything aligns well, I see no reason to think these joints, particularly if they are reinforced, would be any weaker than the center joint that already exists and it would keep the top original. In my opinion, carving a top is pretty expensive in time and materials for a repair unless you absolutely have to do it.
