Binding on neck has a green hue

Hi Everyone,

I have a near new Gibson acoustic and the binding on the neck is taking on a "Green Hue" to it.  Any suggestions on how to fix that or what would cause it.  I've tried taking photo's but it just doesn't show up  on the image like it does with the "Baby Blues" I have for eyes.

Wow! That's interesting. I've seen and stripped some too, and never hit a greeen coat. DO you remembers what years or specific models they were? Or did I hit the few that did not have a green coat? Do you know if that green coat has a specific role? Sory for the bunch of questions, Bill!

By the way, I just checked DOn McRostie and Dan Erlewine book and they do not mention a green coat in their traditionnal gold top recipe.
