Fifteen years ago I helped high school senior finish his shop project, which was an acoustic guitar. The school was closing the shop, and the instructor gave me a box of stuff that had been donated years earlier by the Kalamazoo Gibson factory. There were three sets of these tuners in the box, and I had always assumed that they were also from Gibson. When looking online, I am unable to find a Gibson guitar with these tuners. When looking at tuners in general, I don't see anything that looks similar. There is no name or number on them. They appear to be well made, and have a 14:1 ratio. This may well be common knowledge, but not to me.

Appear to be cheap japanese tuners from the 70's to me.
I agree with Eric on this. They match the tuners on my first guitar, a 70's Japanese guitar and the Old sigma that I have now has a set just like them.
Ping. The shape gives them away. Back is a different shape, though.
Very cheap tuners,at any rate. Nothing special.
Thanks guys,
This isn't the bonanza of rare Gibson tuners I was hoping would augment my retirement portfolio.
I just wish I had had the wisdom to Google "Cheap Japanese Tuners."
Thanks, George
