Archtop Pickup Blues

Hello chaps,

I've been asked to quote for a big archtop restoration job. At the moment, this is the current state of the bridge/pickup. I think this is/was the Fishman Archtop? The owner liked the sound but wants to install the original ebony bridge with more mass. My questions are these, I suppose:

1. Do you think it's possible to fit the Fishman pickup to the old bridge with any success?
2. If not, what would you recommend as an alternative that would work with the original bridge?

This one would work and sounds pretty good. Check out the 335 type installation.

Pick Up the World also has under-bridge ribbon transducers.  Haven't heard them but the concept sounds interesting.  There's a discussion/pitch in the accessories section of www.archtop.com about them.  I'm sure PUTW also has a web site.
