Hello, and thanks for a great forum!
I have an Ibanez 2355 (copy of ES 175). The binding on the back seems to have shrunk, and it has come loose from the back (see attachment). I have thought of the following solutions:
1. Force the binding down to the back plate. This is possible, but I am afraid that it won't last long. If I should do this, which glue should I choose?
2. Cut the binding with a knife and fill the gap with white epoxy or several layers of white super glue from Stewmac.
3. Will the binding soften with heat? If so, how to heat such a tiny piece without destroying surrounding finish and binding? I am afraid that the heating will do more bad than good.
Any comments?
