Any idea on who the maker might be??

HI all. I have had this old guitar for a while now. I finally did a neck reset on it last week and made a new bridge. I have wondered for a while who the maker might be and hope someone here might have an idea. The only markings inside is a stamp that reads 'made in USA'. At some point someone scratched some numbers on the back of the peghead, but I I do not think they are from the builder. The original pickguard was very small and awkward looking, it was held on with screws, I replaced it with the one shown in the picture. Thanks for your time.

That angled head reminds me of an Airline electric, ala Jack White, but I'm not sure that their acoustics were cut in the same manner.
