I sprayed KTM9 finish using two preval sprayers on the front, back and sides of my current guitar. I am using true oil finish on the neck. I used Micro Mesh cushioned abrasives to rub down the finish on the KTM9. 99.8 percent of the finish looks great. However there are two small spots that look like I may have sanded through the finish. I tried spot filling those two small spots and they only seem to get bigger when I try to polish those spots. Do I have to sand down to bare wood and spray the whole guitar again? Or can I somehow fill those two spots only? I think the issue was that I did not put down enough finish evenly to make the finish uniformly thick enough for the rubbing out. Luckily the front of the guitar looks fine. I am considering sanding down the back and sides and using true oil finish for the back and sides also. It's just that overall the guitar finish looks glossy except for those two small spots. The spots are roughly dime and quarter sized each.

I used to have that problem ,And I found out that I was putting to much pressure on the buffer. And to soon after applying the finish. You will have to put more finish on it.But first make sure you clean off the rubbing compound with Napta and turpentine before putting more finish on . Bill."""""""
Thanks Bill, I will try your suggestion.
