Hi all,

I have question about powdered pigments when doing color touchups. I know i can use acetone to dissolve my pigments when using epoxy, but what about CA touchups? I have tried to mix my pigments straight into CA, but did not get the greatest of results. If anybody has tips, I would sure appreciate it.

Thanks
Justin

CA and acetone are compatible, so try a drop or 2 of acetone to wet the pigment, then add (or add to) the cyano. What was the problem with your previous try?
Most of the time, for what I've tried, adding pigments makes the CA dry. I did not had much success in using acetone as a medium : the result was not very sleek (is that correct English?).
I don't use the powderd pigment any more .get the likquid stuf .You can use it with almost any mateiral. Bill.''''''''''''''
I did not even try acetone with CA, I'll give it a try. The problems I've had in the past are that the pigments cause the CA to dry pretty quick and they came out a little spotty looking. I will invest in liquid pigments one day, but for now I have a bunch of powdered pigment that I would like to get good with. Thanks for all your advice, and we'll see if I can do better touchups from here.

Until next adventure
Justin
