FRETS.NET

Hi again , I have just done a right to left hand conversion on a Tanglewood acoustic with B Band T35 pickup system . This involved plugging the saddle slot then recutting to suit lefty. Now the pickup is very weak , I have checked the battery and removed and refitted the ribbon pickup , The ribbon did peel apart a little during removal as it was a tight fit and I had to pry it out.Any ideas out there ? Len

Buy a new one, these systems are quite easily damaged and once the co-polymer layers are damaged that's usually the end. Same goes for Fishman undersaddles....tear the capsule foil and she's done. Russ.
OK thanks Rusty , I had that feeling of dread ....Len
Len , i just mucked up sending my clever reply to this - if you got it please disregard this - I just went down the shop and fished out a brand new B Band 3/32 22L ribbon transducer with a two prong female plug on the end - I got it for a project 5 years ago and didn't use it. You can have it gratis and for the cost of the postage to wherever you are, I'm never going to use it and it needs a home - call me off forum at, vancegit@tpg.com.au and I'll pop it in the mail for you. Rusty.
Rusty you are a lifesaver ! you're not just smart but kind as well ! thank you Len
