Strings for use with under saddle piezo pickups

Just wanted everyones opinion on what string material/construction you all think is best for use with uspp's? nickel plated? phosphour bronze? stainless steel? Am I throwing the cat among the pigeons?

Just being a pigeon that flies away from the cat... I don't like under saddle pu, preferring the more acoustic and woody sound of contact under soundboard piezos. So, I go with Phosphor Bronze. But I think I'd go the same way with under saddle. It depends on the guitar. Aren't nickel and steel for electrics?

Use what you use acoustically - the undersaddle pups don't care because they dont use magnetic inductance, they work on pressure.

On the other hand, the soundhole mounted electric guitar style pickups with magnetic inductance as their prime mover do care and the more ferrous metal you can get in the mix the stronger the signal will be. ie, PB, full nickle wrapped and stainless steel 'wrapped' strings have less of a magnetic signature and are quieter than the full steel wrapped, or nickle coated steel wrapped strings. Bearing in mind their cores are still steel and the plains are pretty much the same. My cats eat pigeons.

Thanx for replies. I kinda felt PB would be best & you guys have confirmed that. Especially if I go ahead with fitting a mic. type piezo under the sound board near the neck as well as the uspp. I'm surprised that no-one suggested catgut LOL or that I experiment with pigeon intestines. If any of you have been/seen London's pigeon infested Trafalgar Square recently any cat donations would be gratefully accepted! Thanx again, Paul
