FRETS.NET

My first acoustic guitar made 8 months ago, the problem , of course form the beginning. But now want to make it right somehow. Cannot get the neck flat, or any back bow.....truss rod nut bottoms out, and turns no more. There's too much relief in the neck now, butno adjustment to play with. I've had the nut off , and added washers, to no avail. Thinking I probably made some error with installation, and may have to take the fret board off to make it right (?). I'm at a loss at the moment.

Thoughts?

Single-action truss rod? If so, the rod needs to be either:
1. Curved with the hump in the middle closest to the fingerboard
or
2. Installed below the centerline of the neck when viewed from the side, and anchored well in the heel.
IF YOU CANT GET THE TRUSS ROD MOVING YOU CAN COMPRESSION FRET THE GUITAR AND CHANGE THE RELIEF OF THE NECK
Loosen the trust rod and then loosen the fret board about half ways down.on the nut end Clamp the body to the bench then support the centre of the neck with a block under it then pull the neck down and reglue it all back together. That will take the relieve out and make your neck straight again.Or you can give it a little extra pull down to compensate for the string pull. Good luck Bill."""""""""""""
