Is this Brazilian Bruno Parlor worth buying?
Is this a good buy for around $1,500 Australian? I currently have a Dreadnaught sized Bourgeois which I love but which is too big for mucking around in the liunge chair....

It has been professionally refinished with a back centre seam crack that's been cleated and sealed. The top is totally crack free! ? converted from a trapeze tail piece to a standard strings in bridge setup..
It has a scale of 24.9", has a body length of 19", 13.5" at the lower bout and 9.5" at the upper and 3.675" deep. All Larson Features!
The top is solid Spruce that sure sounds and appears to be Adirondack with the back and sides from figured book matched Old Growth Brazilian rosewood back and sides... The fingerboard is Ebony and the neck from the now Rare Honduran Mahogany. The Custom Fingerboard Marker denotes that it is an upper-end model, as most had none or just plain dots.
It appears to have been re-fretted professionally with modern size frets and appears to have correct style, but newer tuners. The neck has a V profile, that isn't overly big, with a plain, elegant, slotted headstock.
I believe it started out as an X Braced Guitar for steel strings so it would be from the late 20's or 30's and is possibly made by the Larson Brothers due to the X bracing and overall look and feel.
The action is medium. The neck was heated and straightened (as they did not have neck truss rods) and is now set up with Martin SP 10-47's. Will do very OK with 11-49's too. There is some, but not much saddle to work with and a little at the nut to lower the action a bit more. She's a full 1 7/8th's at the nut making it a great fingerpicker that is nice and responsive.

The parlor fretboard inlays don't indicate a Larson. You can contact Robert Hartman, the grandson of Carl Larson, and see what he can tell you.

I question the quality of the tuners. That's the only thing I would change.And gold would really set it off!Hope you can win the auction!Nice looking.........

I would pass on this. I have one that is worth maybe $150.00 and in great shape but needs the neck reset.
