O.K… Between  which fret position did I scrub with 0000 and naptha ?…Did a fret dress , and was requested to get rid of the discoloration…Personally , I like it…..They are indentations..P.S…I sharpened a feeler gauge and tried it as a scraper…Can you tell me where ?…Hard to believe it got by with a dress…Any ideas ?

I'm not getting the problem. It looks like a nice old Martin with a nice old fingerboard. Does the customer object to the finger divots on the board, or just that they stand-out?

Sometimes a small spoonful of "Old English Scratch Cover" in 0000 will help even-out the coloration but I agree with you that it kinda' looks fine as-is.

About the only thing you can do is to darken the entire finger board and disguise the divots. They are created from the players fingernails and darkened by the players own body oils, lunch and dirt. It has soaked into the board and not just on the surface.

Linseed oil by itself will darken it some and I have also used linseed oil mixed with Fiebing's oil leather dye for fingerboard darkening. It does contain some alcohol but it seems to mix pretty well with the linseed oil. You must wipe very thoroughly after using it with dye or it may end up coloring your clients fingertips. I have found that using compressed air drives it up out of the wood pores, so I'll wipe vigorously and hit it with compressed air a few times until your rag comes up clean. Linseed is a drying oil, it won't evaporate away but you do need to be diligent about removing excess or it can make the board feel sticky.

That said, they look like player Mojo to me and I would leave them.

That's a pretty stark contrast. Oxidizing with Howard core 421 antique stain would help.

I cut it with water so that I can slowly darken with multiple applications:
