Gibson L5 tailpiece .

Hi everyone , I have a customer who has an L5 from '34 , the tailpiece has torn apart with metal fatigue . These seem to be notoriously scarce , any ideas ? I have tried to contact our member John who makes tailpieces but not sure he is still at it .

Hi Len.
Swap out the 12 string tailpiece cross bar
with the original 6 string tailpiece bar and you’ll be all set.

btw: that’s a GORGEOUS L5.
