Neck removal Dovetail joint and fish glue

Hi,

 

I read in an other discussion that hot 50/50 water and vinegar will loosen a neck joint glued with hide glue. Is the same true for fish glue as it is also a protine and vinegar denatures protines.  How long should it take to start and loosen? Should I leave it over-night?

Yes it will work on Fish glue as well.But you will have to go back to that thread and read the directions on how it was done . Good luck .Bill."""""""""""""
