The thread title says it all. I bought a nice piece of Snakewood and I am getting a set of Waverley machines in a month and want to make a set of  butterbean style buttons for it.  I am not adverse to buying some kind of a duplicating machine either  for this project  Anyone?

I only make knobs for pots, sorry. For this I use a very little lathe. For what I've seen so far, making tuner buttons is really more difficult than this.
What a terrific link Tom, Thank you so much. I just went to Luthier.com and tried to register, but the security features defeated me. Man, I hate that. It's so frustrating. 10 tries in 10 mins is enough for me.
the mandolin pictured as my avatar has african blackwood tuner buttons. I made them with a small pen lathe that I have.
