FRETS.NET

hi, i get help from you folks so hope i can help some of you also ??...not sure how much help this will be to any of you but i'm new on FRETS.NET and live in sunny [ ? ]  old england so i guess you would have to source parts from other places to build your own drum sander. don't get me wrong here folks,.. i'm no innovator, i pretty much copied the design of my sander from USA folks i watched on youtube, but hey.....  why not.  this machine has been a HUGE help to me and at a fraction of the cost of a "professional" machine. please take a look at my project sander and my project JAZZ bass that i'm working on right now.[ jazz body in 3rd pic has pickup/neck/bridge etc just LAID on to give an idea of how it would look.]  .... nick

Nice work on the top. Love the sander, too. Plucky ingenuity. I'm curious as to the benefit that the piece of glass offers... maybe just "smoother sailing" under the drum? In any event, congratulations on the bass! (also, good work on the curved fretting caul, referring to the other post).
hi mike, i added the thick piece of glass in the hope that it would be a surface i could really trust to be flat.. both sides of the machine have a rod-end for fine adjustment and underneath i fitted a nut with tube attached as a height "fine adjust".. any one want more pics i can soon sort them...
