Hi folks,

I'm a full time luthier working in New Zealand - not been on this forum for a while Hi again.

A customer has brought me a Phonoharp Zither for a bit of work and I need to locate new strings. My usual supplier for such things in NZ is unfortunately out of business since the Christchurch earthquake in Feb. They're fine - but the building...

Any ideas where I should look?

 Cheers

You might want to try Just Strings here in the states.... this is what they carry  http://www.juststrings.com/labellazither.html and I believe (not 100% sure) that "Dusty Strings" in Seattle WA can assemble sets as well.
You can contact Pyramid Strings in Germany or Savarez in France. They both do strings for historical instruments.

Thanks guys,

that gives me a couple of leads to work on.

How did we ever manage before this internet thingy? - The computer is definitely the most useful power tool in the workshop :-)
