Chop veggies and protect your guitar at the same time...

These are flexible cutting boards I received with the purchase of a Vita-mix blender. I returned the blender but kept the cutting boards (part of the promo). They make the GREATEST top guards I've ever used, being both exceedingly tough yet flexible enough to lay flat on the top. I have eight of them now cut for various tops. I got another set of four on eBay for $19 shipped. One word of advice if you decide to go this route: cut a template from cardboard first, as a pattern to be used as a cutting guide on the real thing. And use a heavy linoleum knife with a new blade, making several passes. I used my bandsaw where it made sense.

This one fits an HD-28.

This is cut to fit a D35.

Maybe it's those CA fumes.

:D too funny.

Ive heard of stranger tendencies. The internet is a big, and often incredibly strange place.

On topic, I love the idea of these flexible cutting boards. But it seems every time Im out I totally forget to look for them. I do happen to have about 50 of those corrugated plastic signs though.

Thanks Mark. I just used this idea to recarve an over-thick bridge while in-situ on the top. Very effective and much safer than the cardboard that I had planned to use.
Cheers

This is an awesome idea! I know Ikea has a similar item available, I'll have to grab a few next time I'm there.
