yea it has a speciel history bought it from a guy who is like a second grandfather to me it plays great
It's most likely not a special run.
Epiphone marks their special runs with an "Epi Custom Shop" decal on the back of their headstock. That translates into: Same as a stock production model except it may have Gibson USA pups, CTS pots and a Switchcraft jack & switch. Basically, just standard platform upgrades.
Regardless, "special runs" of imports do not add or detract from their values.
Also, ALL 12 strings sound good (;

Yeah, good but muddy ( to me). There's enough power to drive a barn door in 12 strings. I've never been a huge fan of the sound and have never owned one for that reason. I've heard plenty that I liked but never one I really though I'd play for long. I do like the Taylor 9 string models with the paired sets on in the mid range. I don't think they have nearly as much of that muddy sound I hear in 12s.

Maybe the most valuable thing about the Epi you have is who it came from. It's hard to put value on that sort of thing.The instrument doesn't have to be a special model with that kind of connection. Sounds to me like you are 3 for 3. You like it, you play it, and it came from someone special to you. That's good enough.
