Neck block glue failure

Neck block glue failure is splitting one side of top near sound hole. Not the more commom 2 sides.
I can slip a gauge tool into about 1 inch between the large brace and top and smaller block brace on the upper side. I do not believe I need a reset but some realigning and regluing. I can't seem to budge the neck to realign the split of the spruce top and purlins. It doesn't dip downward but in towards the bridge and the top as move about 1/8" into to sound hole.
I had come across a repair article here, last year for a D45 that was cracked on 2 sides and was pulling the (purlin)??? and showed the repair procedure. I saved the page but forgot the enlarged images and now I can't find that article. My guitar is a Takamine 12 - F400s. Anyone know of this article and can point me to it?

Here is the image. As in the D45 failure. I was told by this luthier that neck removal was not necessary as that is for neck/fingerboard warpage. A small video camera would come handy. :)

First thing you need to do is remove the neck, so you can get to the top side of the bock. Then you will probably need to make a jack, extending from the end block to the neck block to move things back to the original position. Then things can be glued back together. Just a brief answer, but this is where you need to start.

Nope! It was Martin D45 with a series of small and large images on the repair.

Thanks. It looks like it. I will check the saved page and see if it is the same. What I saved had thumbnails as the larger images were on a different page and didn't get saved.

I just dealt with this on a cheaper bolt on martin..I began to remove the neck as alot of folks advised, and after I started the neck removal, Frank chimed in and said do not remove the neck, use it as a lever..After trying alot of things and not getting anywhere with the neck off, I reglued the neck and, using it as a lever, I got it most of the way back and was able to reglue the unglued brace and stabilize the area..Look up my post of about a month ago, Frank posted photo's from his site....And....Good luck!!
