Left handed guitars

On production left handed guitars is it just the bridge and pickguards that are reversed or are the internal braces and structure reversed also? I never thought to look inside one when I had one in my hands.

That would make the most sense to me but I wonder if the factories do it that way or do they just do what's necessary? My son asked and I didn't know the answer to his question.
