Cheap curing light for dental stuff?

Hello All,

I got browsing through Frank's repair tips on frets.com, and once again ran across his use of the dental stuff to do a quick repair. I googled the curing light---3M model 2500---and the sticker price was off the charts!

A look around ebay displayed curing lights all the way from around $25 to what might as well be infinity for me. Anybody have any experience with one of the cheapos?

We befriended a Dentist who builds guitars and he keeps us in his old stuff which included a light, new bulbs, composites, chemical etch and bonder.

When we couldn't get in touch with him I asked my dentist and he was happy to donate old stuff to us to keep the music playing.  You might want to ask your Dentist if he/she has an old light kicking around somewhere?

Hello Hesh,

By sheer happenstance my dentist here in Fort Bragg CA was a student of mine when I ran a woodworking school in Palo Alto---and he has built a guitar! I'll check with him (:->)...
