classical guitar straps for standing.

I see Kenny Hill is using staps for classical instruments so you can stand and give the footstool the elbow. I like that idea but is there a way to get the steep angle that defies gravity?Where exactly do you fit the button on the bottom end ? That`s depth from the top surface.
The top end fixing will affect angle and balance more. Where should that be? Looking forward to this.

I used to use the ol' Mariachi style that grabbed the edge of the soundhole and liked it except for the damage
that may ensue.Softer materials can lessen that but now I use standard type strap w/ button at neck curve and
centered on tailblock. If it has no standard strap button(tapered violin type)then you can predrill and set a screw
centered on the tail.Depth IMO at least 1/2". Or use a tapered reamer to insert your own peg.Since some jacks for pickups go straight thru problem solved w/jack/button built in.

Thankyou Tim I remember seeing a Mariachi support once.That had something right across beneath the strings and round the waist (of guitar). There are lots talking about footrest and back problems on Delcamp `s site. I just thought --what about straps for sitting down anyway? Most have back problems or sore bottom`s from the tilted body weight. The other problem is with stiff hip joints (left side). They were comparing all the leg cushions being sold.
I can`t recall seeing a player using a strap sitting down but the 2 feet on the floor would be much better.
I started trying new positions today and solved a little problem for short finger players.
Comparing to a violin neck the thumb just touches the curve of the wood below the pegbox.
A guitar neck does not have this useful fixed point to measure the hand position.
I put my hand to the second fret position,and just behind where the relaxed thumb sits I stuck a coat button with double sided tape.(centre of neck).Then stuck some masking tape over that.
I realised that my hand was dropping back too far in no particular exact position and this made reaching notes much harder than necessary. Now I feel as at home as playing the Requinto.
So that is much more useful than side neck buttons as I can feel where it is without looking.
The first frets are just an easy reach back. I`m looking at putting a button halfway up the neck as one tune is in 5 flats.Easy to miss the target.
