I've built 4 guitars now but all have had rosewood sides.  Is there anything special I should know about mahogany?  How long should I soak it?  I'm using a Fox bender.

Soak 20 min, mist frequently while bending...that's all I know.If you've been doin' rosewood ....no problem.
Forget what I said since you're driving an Automatic.
If you have done rosewood before you will find mahogany is just as easy, or better. Not too wet. I do mine by hand on a bending iron and I don't soak them at all - just mist them immediately before bending.

No need to soak. This can actually back-fire and induce rippling. Just mist, make sure you've got your sides no thicker than 080"" (thinner is better).
