I like the way it looks too. Nice piece of work!
Nice so far- here's hoping that it sounds as good as it looks.
peace, Donald
thanks guys i am so glad it has come to this for me i just want to build guitars for the rest of my life and make a modest living doing it .i was a Roberto Venn student who did not do well while attending although i felt my guitar was better looking than anyone else s .O well it is what it is and time has passed for that conversation any way i wish you all luck in your adventure I am a starving Luthier right now spring break came and so the re pairs left and it has been dead quiet for weeks ouch i am a social creature who is trying his best to keep it up .thanks again guys i appreciate what your reply's say it means a lot to me cheers phb
Nice work Donald.Does it still have a sorta trainwater/pickle scent to it?
(I believe that's Paul who's building them...)
nope it dose not if it did id sell it to the sandwich shop mr Pickle .
Careful, Paul, if this works out, you will have people thinking about pickling their top wood before they build with it. I have to admit I've been wondering what effect this might have on the stability of the top over time. By the way, that walnut back is really something and I like the "old" look of the top.
pickle it its the way to go
Hi Paul
I am really impressed by how you are going your own way with this and letting your passion and skills lead you. That guitar looks stunning. The top just grabs your attention and the back is gorgeous. I hope it sounds as great as it looks? You obviously have great skills as a luthier, and you are prepared to go out on a limb and try stuff. Keep it up mate!
