Ok, folks, I've been doing this for awhile and my shop always looks like a bomb went off.  I've got benches everywhere, and pegboard everywhere.  Everywhere I can put a bench or hang pegboard or cabs I have.  However, the one thing lacking was drawer space.

In the next couple of months I'm going to buy 2 or 3 of the cheapo Craftsman tool cabs.  I've already got one that sits right under and next to my main bench.

In the meantime, does anyone have any other suggestions on how to organize?

Paul, that shop is so tidy!!! How do you get any work done in there?? ;)
Believe me it is not always tidy. But it's easier to clean than any shop I had before, so the chaos is entirely my fault.
Beautiful windows in that shop, Paul H.    Mike, those library drawers bring back memories of the Dewey Decimal System. Nice to see them get a new life. I have a few wood machinist cabinets and an old watch makers bench that make for good organization in that they have many small drawers. I also have a ton of clear plastic storage containers for easy stacking storage.  Making a regular scheduled time to organize and clean up 'bomb missions' is a key for me to do faster future jobs.  It seems that the smaller the place the more important this becomes... and the larger the space... it gets even worse.  :)
