I like to stop and think......What would a smart guy do??
IF YOU WANT TO LEARN.. HOW ABOUT ROBERTO -VENN THIS IS WHERE I WENT FRANK SAID IT WOULD BE A SACRIFICE ...IT WAS ALL WORTH IT NOW I MAKE AVERAGE $5 TO 6,000 A MONTH IN REPAIRS FROM HOME IN CA
i had a guy apply for an aprenticeship at my shop who went there..he said he heard rumors that they were going out of business
well if that's true that is sad new for me but the one I heard in school was they are moving to a new location in Phoenix I was even standing on the plot of land they were thinking of I also recall the city of phoenix was going to pull a public domain thing on the school but if I recall Frank Ford showed up for 3 days and lectured and it was so informative I try to copy his exact moves from breath to breath frank is the holy grail of luthiery he already forgot more than I will ever know RV in the house
i dont know about the holy grail but he is very good...i'd have to say rob magargal and john thurston are pretty close too...not to mention phil jacoby and bob taylor emory knode and bill collings
Welcome to the Wild Wild Web. One of it's great strengths is that there is a tremendous amount of information available to someone who wants to dig a bit. The downside is that much of the information is not refereed or qualified in meaningful ways so that it's very difficult to know what to trust. Forums are particularly vulnerable to misinformation. I'ts still "buyer beware".

Your only defense is to use your own common sense and take relatively conservative paths in repairs or building if you're doing something for the first time.

Cheers,
Bob
