Jet Frets ?

has anyone ever tried these Jet Frets ? some kinda Krazy installation where you need a cnc or a plek in my opinion .Has any one ever tried them ?

Gobble gobble I kinda agree uh I am into new stuff weather its good or bad because it opens the mind to what can be Gobble gobble, The Holy Grail is inside all of us Gobble gobble .

Especially on Thanks Giving in the lower 48 Gobble gobble.

Happy Thanksgiving to you! Here in Europe we don't celebrate it, although it was the Mayflower pilgrims from England that started the tradition back then. Here we eat turkey on Christmas day instead, gobble gobble.... :-)

Altogether too much gobbling for  my taste ...I wonder how the Jet Fret folks would react if you asked them to install their frets on a fan fret guitar, with a compound  radius ??? ...

Though I admire the inventor for his drive and ambition to innovate, I have to be honest in saying I think the idea was not really worth pursuing. There are just so, so, so many areas for problems and complications with a system such as this, and quite honestly very little potential for any true benefits to be realized. 

 

I can see this being a fun idea when initially thought up, but after weighing all the pros and cons, obstacles and benefits, if I were the inventor I don't think I would have bothered taking development past the bar napkin sketch.

Or, if you're aiming for "fret sustain" you could take it one step further, and you'd end-up with what Ovation did for a while: a complete one-piece aluminum fingerboard with the damned frets cast right onto the board!
