anyone got any ideas of how they pulled off this one.

In my opinion i think this finish looks unique. ( my band mates think it looks ugly) but anyway its a fairly recent Gibson finish. And even though the guitars tone is questionable i would like to see how they did this one any ideas i checked dans book it doesnt cover this.

I would love to try to get this.

Most finishes like this are done by mixing the multiple colors in a tray, only until they are the desired consistency, and then dipping the item.

Look for "swirl" on YouTube

Idon't think it's a swirl. I think it's a wiped on finish (as may confirm the title of this guitar, linked to Gibson's flooding): apply a diluted coat and wipe it with a plastic bag. Let dry and apply a burst and some clear coats.

Yeah i saw this about last year and i thought it looks ok not my favorite but very unique. but thanks Pierre and everyone you all have been such wonderful help since i joined.

flattened a bowling ball then shaped it to look Gibbylike?
