Donald 'Duck' Dunn 1941-2012
Really sorry to hear of the passing of one of my all-time bass heroes, Duck Dunn. He passed in his sleep in Toyko, Japan after playing two shows at a blues club there.
His playing always resonated with me as being the perfect example of "play what ya' got and don't be hot". Always great choices of lines and sparse notes.... never overplayed a day in his life. RIP
