Replicating a Hofner Headstock Fascia Plate (Custom Waterslide Decal Needed)

I have a 60s Hofner Archtop in for repair/restoration. The remaining issue is the headstock plate which was plastic and semi-melted. Specifically, it is the Hofner/Selmer "treble clef" fascia.

I spent a considerable amount of time tracking down vintage/new replacement fascias with the help of Steve at vintagehofner.co.uk, but nothing panned out.

So...I need to replicate it. The original plastic overlay appeared black but was clear and silk-screened from the rear...first the gold Hofner lettering and treble clef then black.

My idea is either to use black fiber, plastic, or ebony veneer and use waterslide decals. I don't think gluing would be a problem but both vulcanized black fiber and plastic would need a finish to protect the decals.

Anyone have any ideas on which might give the best result?

Also, anyone have a source for custom waterslide decals with good metallics? I can provide vector artwork in .svg form.  I found a guy across the big pond that wanted 10 pounds for a single decal and 10 pounds for shipping. Seemed a bit steep, at least for shipping.  I got a referral for "the Factory Guy" up in Canada but I haven't gotten a reply so it may be an old email.

Thanks!

Have you tryed the sticker guy????????????

Thanks for the tip. Looking at his website he doesn't appear to do metallic colors, but I'll email him to find out.

Anyone have an idea of the type plastic Hofner used on pegheads?

Here's a photo of the headstock, overlay, and a custom bound replica pickguard I made for this guitar as well as an intact Hofner headstock.
