Since we've all used magnets for clamping, aligning, etc. I'd like to share a link to an outfit that always has great little articles published on ...go figure... magnets & magnetism!

Yep, they sell them and would probably like to sell more but that's not the point here. I have no affiliation with K&J Magnetics whatsoever.  I'm just a customer who wants to share some of their fantastic little articles with a like-minded group.

There is a guy who  makes experiment acoustic guitars using no bracing on the top but four strong supermagnets to "float" the top instead. Seems to work, but I'm not impressed by the sound. He is on FaceBook.

Thanks Mike.  I didn't think I wanted to know that much about magnets, but now I can't stop reading articles on that site.  Fascinating stuff.  Can you give me the last couple of hours back?

Thanks, I find magnets interesting too. Frank's articles often warn of their dangers.  I was thinking that the guitar with the floating top might need a warning decal to prevent a wiped credit card, an erased smartphone, etc. I also wonder how it would record since a mic is a transducer similar to an electromagnet.
