For those who may have installed Baggs Anthem (or similar) pickups in flattops, where do you prefer to put the battery--on the end block or over next to the neck block on the bass side? I'm re-installing mine because the stickum failed on on the Velcro patch that holds the battery container to the body.

Larry,
I guess I don't fully comprehend your question.
The most obvious answer is to put it is where YOU prefer it to be.
Alternately, you can buy a new self adhesive strip of Velcro and replace the original one.
I've got the new adhesive strip. The original installation was back in the corner, next to the neck block. I'm thinking the end of the neck block, just inside the sound hole would be easier to reach--especially since the battery tends to die right before a gig. Any downside to that (it won't be very visible in that location)?
I foresee no problem with that.
The greatest thing about working on YOUR own guitar is changing things to make it work better or easier for you.
Personally, if quick & easy battery replacement is your primary goal, consider installing a battery box that is accessible from the outside of the instrument.http://www.stewmac.com/Pickups_and_Electronics/Components_and_Parts...
Best of luck :)
The internal battery is fine. I don't think I want to mess with the outside of this one--too nice, too devalued if I did.

Often they don't stay stuck, mostly it's the dust inside the guitar. I use the cheapest glue sticks I can find, they stick well enough to hold a battery in place inside the dustiest guitar. If needed it can be cleaned back to the bare wood without a lot of effort. Personally I like it placed on the bass side of the neckblock.
