When things go from bad to worse
A customer brought his Ovation in for a very simple job: fishing out the jack socket and reattaching it. Something we'd do free for goodwill. However, while getting ready, he picked the guitar up, the strap of the gigbag it was in snapped... and this was the result:
I felt really, really bad for him, but honestly, I couldn't stop laughing.

The prescribed ultimate structural and cosmetic repair for this damage consist solely of the application of 12"-14" of Duct Tape to the affected area..
