FRETS.NET

For some time now, I've thought about setting up my own Internet forum, but the process seemed a bit daunting. But along comes Ning, and my pal, Kate, who works there. Now I find myself with no excuse for delaying any longer.

Please feel free to participate! I'll be contributing, moderating and answering questions, and I hope we'll get some real activity going here.

Cheers,

Frank Ford

I came from the Banjo Hut and have used Frets.com since it was started. I call myself a hobby luthier and have lots of Dans books and stuff and a regular at stewmac.com so thanks for starting another great site.
Very cool! This ought to be fun!!!
Well I don't know where to begin, but to be able to have more conversations with and around Frank is just about all you can ask.

Frets.com is perhaps the best source of guitar repair info easily available and to add an "interactive" aspect (sorry, please don't alert the buzzword police) is great.

Frank, thanks for taking the time.

Regards,

Joshua
Thanks so much for doing this Frank,
Best, Evan
Yay, Frank! I thought you had too much free time on your hands, now I know I was right. This new site will give you something to keep you busy. Dan
Hey Frank,
first frets.com & now this..... you've made my day (after years of saving my backside!)

all the very best,
steve
Frank, thanks for starting this! I don't imagine I'll participate much, but I'm looking forward to lurking and learning anyway.

Cheers!

Jeff
Way to go Frank. Bold, sweeping move! Hope you have a great deal of fun with this.Must be very exciting to see such an encouraging response to your opening.I look forward to watching you grow and being part of that growth with you. Play on!
Frank,

Very cool. I'll go way out on a limb and predict this will quickly grow into a highly valued resource - and a favorite hang-out for a bunch of luthiers and a few of us "wanabe's".

Steve
Here You have a future "hangaround", Frank!

I work as an engineer in Sweden, but my spare time is spent collecting and restoring old Levins and Goyas (Swedish made, that is).

You helped me with some top crack advices some years ago, on a 60:s Goya twelvestring. (Remember Your college room-mates blond Levin in the sixties...? That´s the model....) I hope to share some documented projects here in the future...

Thank you Frank!
Kind of you to share experience with us.
I am no luthier, but I love to play guitars and
to make smaller adjustments to my preferences.
Also curious about everything guitar, I'm sure
I will have a lot to learn from these pages.
Hey Frank.
Thanks for starting a place for people who keep ebony and rosewood pieces in a box labeled "too small to keep".
